6 Oct: In Their Footsteps - Edward Thomas

Join  us as we walk through the landscape of Edward Thomas, culminating at his memorial 'The Poets Stone'.

Starting in the carpark of Bedales school, where Helen Thomas taught, Jeremy Mitchell, Chair of the Edward Thomas Fellowship and Keeper of the Edward Thomas Centre, there will be opportunities to stop along the way and reflect on the work and life of Edward Thomas as well as the beauty of the surrounding country side.

Walkers are invited to share their favourite Thomas works, or even their own work inspired by birdsong.

After reaching the Poets Stone, the walk will head back to the starting point where I am sure some participants will want to head off for a drink or lunch at the nearby, Harrow Inn.

The walk is about 5miles and it ardeous in places. We reccomened sturdy walking boots and please dress appropriatly for the weather!

This walk is Free to attend but we reccomend booking in advance not to be dissapointed. Donations towards the Edward Thomas Festival wold be greatfully received.
