Introduction to Acrylics Art Course (5 or 10 week course)
Join artists Livvy Stainer and discover the dynamic world of acrylic painting in this comprehensive 10-week course. Acrylics are fast-drying and versatile, making them the perfect medium for building foundational painting skills. Beginners welcome!
Through guided landscapes and still life projects, you will learn the qualities of acrylics and master essential techniques, including: achieving different colour schemes, portraying three-dimensional form, creating depth, and effectively using light and shadow. You will receive step-by-step demos and expert guidance throughout to ensure confident results.
This 10-week course is available as two 5-week blocks. Sessions run 2pm - 4pm.
10-week course (21st April - 30th June 2026) = £150.00
5 - week block (21st April - 26th May 2026 and/or 2nd June - 30th June 2026) = £80.00
Single session = £20.00
Please bring the following to each session. Having your own kit ready will allow you to maximise painting time:
* A3 Windsor & Newton Acrylic canvas paper pad or stretched canvas
* Tear-off disposable paper pallet pad
* Selection of paint brushes of different sizes
* Acrylics Paints Set (Suggested Colours): Cadmium Red, Alizarin Red, Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Lemon Yellow, Violet Purple, Burnt Sienna, Black, Titanium White
* Other: Kitchen roll, Masking tape, Overall, Large container for water
